After Breakfast Proceed to Dirang. On the way visit Orchid Research Centre Tipi, an orchidarium with about 10,000 orchid plants belonging to various genera and species. After having breakfast visit Dirang Monestry and proceed towards Tawang. On the way, make a stop at the war cemetery to pay respects. Resume your journey and reach Sela Pass, which stands at an impressive altitude of 4170 meters (13700 feet). This pass is renowned for its breathtaking lakes and scenic landscapes. Continue driving until you arrive at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, a tribute to the courageous Indian soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat. After breakfast, you have two options for the day. Option one is to visit Bum La Pass, which is the Indo-China border. To do so, you will need to obtain a permit from the DC office in Tawang on your own. You can also visit Sangestar Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, and Pangateng Tso Lake, also called P.Tso Lake. Please note that for these visits, you'll need to hire a local taxi in Tawang and pay directly for the service, as our vehicles are not allowed in that area.
Alternatively, you can choose option two, which includes visiting Tawang Monastery, also known as Namgey Lhatse, Singsor Ani Gompa, and Tawang War Memorial. Please note that if you decide to visit Bum La Pass and Madhuri Lake, it may not be possible to cover all the places in a single day.
