1 | Dibrugarh – Aalo.
Meet and assist by our representative at the Dibrugarh Airport . Transfer towards Aalo. Also called Along, this is a charming town situated along the Siang river and will treat you with picturesque landscapes. The pleasant weather, hills all around, and beautiful orange orchards make Aalo a popular place to visit on a tour to Arunachal Pradesh.
On arrival, check in your stay and relax. To make the most of your time in Aalo, you can head out and enjoy nature walks or explore the famous attractions in Aalo like Bagra Village, Donyi Polo Temple, Ramakrishna Mission Campus, and Patum Bridge. 2 | Aalo- Mechuka.
Morning with a healthy breakfast and later, check out to proceed towards Mechuka. It is a mesmerizing valley in the Himalayan foothills where the river Yar Gapchu aka Siyom, flows. The Siko-Dido waterfall ,that falls on the way to Mechuka from Along. Upon reaching, check in your homestay and retire for the day. | Mechuka |
3 | Mechuka.
After breakfast, get ready for a local sightseeing tour of Mechuka. We start by paying a visit to Old Monastery Samten Yongcha ( a 400 year old monastery on a scenic hilltop), Mechuka viewpoint, Sri Guru Nanak ji Mediation Point, Gurudwara, Hanuman Temple ( a temple built in fornt of a natural carving that resembles the face of Lord Hanuman on a mountain) .Overnight stay in hotel. | Mechuka |
4 | Mechuka.
Morning breakfast . We will also visit the new Monastery to get another glimpse of town. Spend some time walking around and appreciating the simplicity of the surroundings.
We will move to one of the best things to do in Mechuka. A hike to the Mechuka-la!
It’s a relaxed hike with beautiful views on every side. The scenery keeps getting better as you go higher up. Once at the top, the view of Mechuka town is simply beyond words. Sit there and just enjoy the moment.
Being in this remote place, far away from almost everyone you know, and yet feeling very much at peace, the time spent here, doing nothing but being yourself, will stay with you for a long time. From here, we will then visit the small but beautiful Dorjelling village and meet some of the locals to get to know about their life here. 5 | Mechuka – Pasighat.
Morning delicious breakfast. Later, check out from the homestay or hotel and drive to Pasighat. Pasighat is the land of two popular tribes Passi and Minnyiong. It is situated along the banks of river Siang and is known for its mighty Siang and indigenous hanging bridges. Visit Sirki waterfall. 6 | Pasighat – Roing.
After breakfast drive down to Roing. The drive is an interesting one through picturesque landscapes, including crossing over a dry river bed. On the way you will take a brief halt at Dambuk, the orange country of Arunachal . Take a short walk around the picturesque orange orchards which will be ripe with fruit in December.
Roing is the gateway to Dibang valley, drained by the Dibang river – one of the major tributaries of the Brahmaputra . This area is also referred to as the Mishmi Hills, since it is inhabited by the Mishmi tribe. The area is a biodiversity hotspot 6000 plant species, 100 mammal species and about 700 bird species. 7 | Roing – Namsai.
Early Breakfast drive to Namsai. Namsai District comes into its existence on 15th July ’2014. This place is ideal for the culture and history buff. However, this place will not let you down if you are an adventurist or birder. The major attraction of Namsai is the Golden Pagoda. It is built in the Thai/Burmese style, sits majestically amidst a beautiful, landscaped garden surrounded by lush greenery. The Buddha Vihara in Chongkham is also a must-visit place in Namsai. 8 | Namsai – Dibrugarh.
Morning Breakfast, we will head back to Dibrugarh in Assam. Dibrugarh is a major city of northeast India, and is also called as the Tea city of India. Dibrugarh is located in the south bank of river Brahmaputra. It is surrounded by vast areas of tea gardens. Numerous tea plantations) and factories (including large and small companies are situated around Dibrugarh. After reaching there, we will show you the vast beautiful tea gardens and its green lush spread across the horizons, the heritage of the tea garden people, and their culture and livelihood. Evening we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment by own). Later Visit Shri Jagannath Temple of Dibrugarh is a replica of the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odissa. Located near the Mahatma Gandhi Park at Khanikar, this temple is also known as Shikshetra Dhaam.
