1 | Arrival at Guwahati Airport-Bhalukpong(Assam-Arunachal Pradesh)
Arrival at Guwahati Airport, our respective man will meet & greet drive to Bhalukpong you can enjoy river rafting in Jia Bharali River, flowing along the national park then proceed to Bhalukpong, one more spot in Bhalukpong is The Bhalukpong Fort was constructed around 10th century and though now in ruins, it stands for the culture and ancient glory of the place. It was built by king Bhaluka on the banks of Bharali River. Apart from the fort’s remains, important remains of Bana, grandson of King Bhaluka are also preserved here. 2 | Bhalukpong – Dirang (Arunachal Pradesh)
After breakfast, proceed to Dirang. On the way visit Tipi Orchidarium situated on the banks of the river Bharali, a place with over 500 orchids, on display there are some rare species of orchid. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country, so take a break to visit Nag Temple. National Research centre on OAK: The National Research Centre on Yak is located amidst the Eastern Himalayan ranges. Founded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the centre is responsible for conserving Indian Yak. The yak firm belonging to this centre is located 31 km away from Dirang. Researches on genetic resources and problems associated with yak production are conducted here. Improving yak and yak products are part of an agenda of the centre. 4 | Dirang – Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh)
Tawang (9998Ft / 3048 Mts / 130 Kms / 06 Hrs Drive) After early breakfast proceed to Tawang the Land of Hidden Paradise. On the way enjoy the beauty of Sela Pass (13700 Ft) a border line between two districts i.e., Tawang & West Kameng Tawang, Sela Lake a small lake, which remains frozen for most of the year. Further drive to 10 kms visit Jaswant War Memorial – a memorial to the brave soldier who single handedly tried to hold off approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. Later visit majesty of Nuranang Falls where scenes from the SRK-Madhuri Dixit starrer “Koyla” were shot. Arrive & check in to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. 5 | Tawang Sightseeing (Arunachal Pradesh)
Tawang (9998Ft / 3048 Mts / 130 Kms / 06 Hrs Drive) After breakfast visit Tawang Monastery world famous seventeenth century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse which overlooks the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters and ancient scripture, images and has an eight meters high gilded Buddha statue. It is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest monastery in Asia. Five hundred llamas live in its residential buildings and it is rich in.Later visit Urgelling Gompa, 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelugpa Sect of Buddhism so far. Inside the monastery there are several Stupas (Vihar) and people from all walks of life visit this place during Buddhist new year to get the blessing for the coming year. Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The names of 2420 martyrs are imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues. You can also visit the craft centre in Tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dress and delightful affordable mementos.
