After breakfast at hotel, leave Hanoi at 08:00 for Halong bay, The World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, embark a junk cruising around Halong Bay. Enjoy seafood lunch on boat, then have a short excursion to Surprise Caves and swim, kayak if weather permitted. After breakfast at hotel, short drive to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages, home of Hmong and Day ethnic. Enjoy slope rice field, bamboo valley, rustic villages and villager's daily work along the way. Return to Sapa and take a transfer back to Lao Cai station for night train to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning. Have breakfast and start a trip to Ninh Binh, Ancient Capital of Vietnam in 10th century. On arrival, take a short excursion by bike to visit Dinh Le temples, which were built in memory of the Tran Dynasty Kings who defeated Kublikhan's army, have lunch at local restaurant. In the early afternoon, explore Tam Coc (three grottos) by rowing boat through the rice fields, mountain ranges, This Area is considered as Halong bay on land. Back to Hanoi and arrive at 17:00. Getting on boat and cruise the world's longest underground river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical the natural aspects of the caves are. After 700m cruise, a large dry passage appears, discover the cave for 500m by walking. Have a chance to explore the remain of Cham Altars and Inscriptions inside.
